So you have invested the money you hardly earned and have come to the realization you need more money to invest and keep creating wealth/passive income. But from where?
One of the strategies to save money and keep investing I use is food prepping.
This starts before going to the supermarket, create a potential menu and buy food accordingly.
Sunday night spend 30 minutes seasoning and cutting the protein you will eat the following week, place them in plastic containers then refrigerate.
Same with the veggies but without the seasoning.
Only then will you be ready to each evening come home and cook approx 15 minutes your meal then spend time with the family.
This way not only will you avoid eating out (saving money), ordering in (saving money), but eat healthier, save time and spend time with loved ones.
One Recipe I keep coming back, which could be prepped ahead of time so when you get home you just put it in the oven are meatballs (protein of your liking, I usually use ground turkey).
1 pound ground turkey- well seasoned (by you of course, use salt/adobo/pepper/onion salt, don't be shy with it unless your doctor tells you otherwise)
3-4 Tablespoons of soy sauce
1-2 tablespoon of sesame oil
3/4 of a cup of seasoned breadcrumbs
1-2 stems of green onion finely chopped.
1 egg
Directions -
- Season meat
- Break the egg in a rather large container, stir until completely yellow.
- Still in the meat, soy sauce, sesame oil, breadcrumbs and the green onions until fully mixed.
- On a large glass pan spread oil and with your hands create meatballs roughly the size of your palm.
- Bake on 350* for ~20 min.
This recipe with rice and some greens could be prepped and made in ~30 min, it is cheap and delicious.
The devil is in the details.
Till next time.
